What to bring:
Even in the summer, temperatures and weather conditions can change quickly in the mountains and can be below freezing temperatures around sunrise.
✅ Make sure to bring enough layers, sunrise in the mountains can still be pretty chilly!

Special requirements:
Children's safety seats are available for children aged 2 and up or weighing 40lbs (18kg) or more.
If your child is younger than 2 or weighs less than 40lbs, a rear-facing safety seat is required, and customers must bring their own.
Please inform us in advance if you need a children's safety seat or if you will be bringing your own. The children's safety seat can stay in the shuttle during your lake visit.
Restrictions:
Small pets are welcome if they can fit in a carry-on cage on your lap.
Service animals of all sizes are allowed - please contact us beforehand if you're bringing a service animal.
Cancellations:
Private Shuttle Cancellation: Guests can cancel their booking up to 14 days prior to their trip for a full refund minus deposit, cancel up to 7 days before departure for a 50% refund minus deposit.
Additionally, all guests may make changes to their booking date and time up to 72 hours in advance of their trip (subject to availability). To cancel your booking, please contact us directly.

We took a private bus with our family of 11, which was great with 3 kids under 5 years old who needed their own car seats. Having the extra time to get sorted at the bus and on our on schedule was great. Lake Moraine was a highlight, and I wish we had more time there but we also visited Lake Louise, Emerald Lake, and Takakkaw falls. Our driver Simmi was very knowledgeable and has lived in Banff area over 30 years. She picked us up croissants for us on the way which was a nice touch. Everything was stress free and Simmi went the extra mile (literally) by walking with us to take our giant family photos which was really nice. Would highly recommend. We opted for canoeing at Lake Louise, which didn’t give us too much time there to walk along the right side of the lake. So if you’re planning on going canoeing at Lake Louise, maybe opted out of Lake Emerald.

We started off our Banff trip with a private tour seeing Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, as well as a couple additional beautiful stops. Our guide, Bec, was so wonderful! She is so sweet and fun and took care of family well which included young kids and elderly parents and in between. We loved the croissants and the coffee/tea as well as the additional treats. She never made us feel rushed but somehow we still managed to enjoy our time and see such wonderful sites to start our week in Banff off to a great start. She shared her knowledge of some history of the stops and gave us recommendations so we could decide what would work best for our family. This was so great, so that we didn’t have to stress at all about where to go. I am so happy we went with Via Via. We also took family pictures which was such an amazing and fun activity to add on to the tour. I would have never thought to do that until I saw that as an option. I booked a 12-hour private tour from Canmore starting with sunrise at Moraine lake and Lake Louise, followed by Emerald lake and Takkakaw falls. We did the Lake Louise gondola at the end and returned home via Bow Valley Parkway. From the planning stage, I knew we were going to cover a lot of ground. Nathan and Hailey were amazing to work with and helped me decide how much time we could spend at each location without feeling rushed. They even helped book the gondola tickets for us even though they didn’t introduce that on their website. On the day of the tour, our guide Bec picked us up on time. Bec was very informative, and full of enthusiasm. She helped us find the best picture spots during the tour and even assisted my parents reach the best viewing spots. My dad had a knee problem but at no point did he have trouble getting a good viewing spot! We never felt rushed even when we had some slow walkers in our party. I cannot recommend Via Via Moraine Lake enough! We made some memories in Canadian rockies and will never forget our guide!

We had a private Tour to Lake Moraine and Lake Louise with Via Via for our family of 5 plus a 16month old. Traveling with a young one and the crowds can be challenging. Our tour guide Grace made the experience absolutely perfect. Grace was not only knowledgable about the area, but such an upbeat person. Via Via provided blankets for the morning chill ride. They had hot tea, coffee and cocoa along with fresh croissants for our first stop at Lake Moraine. It rained on our drive out making us all wonder if we might get wet for our first stop. The rain stopped, the sun peaked out and made for amazing photos as the sun came over the mountain. Next stop was Lake Louise. Grace made sure to help us get a family iconic photo on the lake. We then drove the Bow Valley Parkway back with a few stops along the way back to Canmore where we were staying. The money was the best spent on the trip. Highly recommend a private tour and using Via Via.

This is my second time to Banff. First time I didn’t book a shuttle in advance and we missed out seeing Lake Morraine and had to hike to Lake Louise. This time we booked a private shuttle and it was awesome. The crew at ViaVia was super responsive and flexible when I changed our pick up location. The shuttle driver, Leo, was so nice and accommodating. You could tell he wanted to ensure everyone was comfy and happy. I would say he went the extra mile! Highly recommend this shuttle service.

Did you log on first thing in the morning to make a reservation with Parks Canada to Moraine Lake? So did we, but don’t despair.
Sure, it will cost a bit more going through a private service like Via Via but the money was money well spent. The shuttle arrived for pickup on time both ways and our drivers (Nick and Gunnar) were fantastic!
One member in our group left his cell phone in the shuttle after we got dropped off and the driver came to us with the phone. That sort of service makes a place deserve six stars. Well done, Via Via!
